Join University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, Thomas More University, Mount St. Joseph University, Northern Kentucky University and the Cincinnatus Association for the 2027 Excellence in Education Awards. Nominations for eight awards will open in the fall of 2026 with recipients announced in December. Honorees will be recognized during an inspiring evening at the Excellence in Education Awards ceremony in February 2027. This is more than just an awards ceremony—it’s a chance to connect with educational leaders and innovators from across the region.

Nominations for the 2027 Awards to Open in Fall 2026

Nominations for the 2027 Excellence in Education Awards for the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Region will open in the fall of 2026 and the program partners, Mount St. Joseph University, Northern Kentucky University, University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, Thomas More University and The Cincinnatus Association are already planning to celebrate next year’s honorees. Outstanding Greater Cincinnati Public School Educator Award: This award recognizes an outstanding teacher in the Greater Cincinnati area who is teaching in a public school.

Outstanding Greater Cincinnati Private School Educator Award: This award recognizes an outstanding teacher in the Greater Cincinnati area who is teaching in a private school.

Outstanding Northern Kentucky Public School Educator Award: This award recognizes an outstanding teacher in the Northern Kentucky area who is teaching in a public school.

Outstanding Northern Kentucky Private School Educator Award: This award recognizes an outstanding teacher in the Northern Kentucky area who is teaching in a private school.

Outstanding Student Teacher Mentor Award: This award recognizes an outstanding mentor teacher in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.

James N. Jacobs for Outstanding Administrator in Cincinnati Public Schools Award: This award recognizes an outstanding Cincinnati Public School Administrator.

John E. Pepper for Outstanding Volunteer in Public Education Award: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated leadership and outstanding volunteer service in education in Cincinnati Public Schools.

Woodward Trust Distinguished Teacher in Cincinnati Public Schools Award: This award recognizes a teacher in Cincinnati Public Schools for their commitment, compassion, and perseverance in the classroom.
